The orchestra is led by the Honored Artist of Ukraine Volodymyr Kim. Professional musicians successfully work with orchestral works of any complexity - from violin to piano concerts. The team constantly takes an active part in the cultural life of the city, conducts active creative activities in promoting the best examples of Russian and world musical classics. Repeatedly the orchestra holds joint performances both with domestic Ekaterina Terentyeva, Victoria Fraint, and with foreign soloists Dominic de Viliankur, France.

In the year, a string quartet was created on the basis of the orchestra - a regular participant in city festive events. The Sevastopol Center for Culture and Art, together with the Symphony Orchestra in the framework of the program for the development of the Russian language and culture, created a unique project “Know the World of Music”, aimed at the aesthetic education of the younger generation of Sevastopol residents.

By uniting cognitive and entertaining functions, the project “Know the World of Music” performs an educational mission, making a significant contribution to the formation of spiritual values. Sevastopol Symphony Orchestra was created by Vladimir Kim on the basis of a pedagogical chamber orchestra in the year. The status of the municipal orchestra received only in the year. For all the time of professional activities, the orchestra participated in more than concert events of various orientations. He played 10 symphonies, 10 concerts for a violin with an orchestra, 10 concerts for a cello with an orchestra, more than 15 piano concerts, more than 35 opera arias. With the participation of the symphony orchestra and the efforts of its leader in Sevastopol, many musical cultural projects were implemented, including the school subscription “Know Music”, “Professor of the Moscow Conservatory - Sevastopol”, a concert educational project “Children - Children” with the participation of young talents of Sevastopol, “From the collection of masterpieces of great Russian composers” and many others.
