The graduate was waiting for work on distribution in Gorky, but fate ordered otherwise. Nadezhda turned out to be an amazing teacher, brilliantly led all objects without exception - from drawing and painting to lectures on the history of art.

Together with her husband, G. Self -Rohodkin, she participated in the development of all training programs. They have always been together, shoulder to shoulder, as if communicating vessels. She gave all herself, she gave up a staging art: a beautiful and methodically true staging of a still life - this is 80 percent of success in learning. She painted one of the walls in the apartment in the spirit of the Italian comedy, and turned the floor in the living room with the help of colors into a Persian carpet.

Creative energy was manifested in everything. Even in the summer, in the country, she managed to work on the beds, and draw, and collect neighboring children to create together from old buckets and bed springs in the spirit of Tatlin. The favorite venture in school evenings was performances: puppet, acting, the Theater of Shadows. In a word, no matter what was taken for, everything turned out fine.

Today these are adult artists, architects, restorers, teachers, illustrators, designers, artists - directors, icon painters, and once there are just children who timidly take their first steps in art. It was struck by her special manner of explaining. For example, about a brush that she herself idolized: that she has a “mouse” and “heel”, that it is necessary to work with a “mouse”, “heels” without touching.

Over 50 years of pedagogical activity, on the basis of her author's programs and methodological developments, she conducted many seminars and master classes on academic painting and open fare. She performed more than once at regional and republican conferences, continuing education courses.
