From childhood, Issa Kostoev dreamed of becoming a policeman: bravely catch criminals and hold violators accountable. From an early age, a fair and executive boy showed interest in legal science and immediately after school entered the university to study the right. A young specialist began his service in North Ossetia, where he quickly established himself as a responsible and executive employee.

The talented lawyer was quickly noticed and soon invited to work in Moscow. He revealed the high -profile criminal events that took place in the Union, but the main, practically “business of life”, was the capture of the most cruel and dangerous maniac of the 20th century - Andrei Chikatilo. The case of the Rostov killer Kostoev was given in, having received documents of the investigation that came into an impasse.

Thus began the famous Operation "Forest Polos".

In an interview with Issa Magometovich, he said that due to the mistake of the forensic examination, Chikatilo went through the “sieve”, being in the hands of the police in another case, was not verified thoroughly on the fact of crimes. It was enough for an experienced investigator to view the materials of interrogation so that everything became clear. But evidence was required.

Kostoev found not only them, but also achieved a sincere recognition from the killer of 55 people. This case was the last in the brilliant career of investigator Kostoev. At the peak of his demand and worldwide admiration, he decided to retire, counting, then he fulfilled his main purpose. Leaving the service, Issa Magometovich took up socio-political work. He represented his native Ingushetia in the Federation Council, Bel, a deputy of the State Duma, and co -authored with a former colleague worked on the book.

It collected a large analytical material on the psychological portraits of criminals - the publication is used at all law offices of forensics.
