The Smile Empty Soul group was formed even when all three of its participants studied at school. Having set their sound on numerous performances in their hometown of Santa Clarita, the musicians recorded their demo, which was destined to get into the right hands almost immediately, which led to the fact that soon the group signed a contract with the Lava Records label.

He helped young musicians finalize their sound and release his debut album in May. Recorded in the best traditions of alternative music by the end of X, the album liked many lovers of alternative music and dispersed by a pretty good circulation, reaching the gold status. At their live performances, the group always struck listeners by the fact that the same songs at different concerts were played by musicians completely differently.

After all, if we have already played it, it means that people have already heard her, and this is no longer interested, the stage passed, and we must change something, otherwise what's the point in concerts in general, if you can also listen to the album and at home! By the time of the end of the “Smile Empty Soul” tour, they accumulated enough new material, and after a short break, the musicians went to her old producer John Lewis Parker in his personal studio “Suburban Hell Studious” to start working on his second album “Anxiety”.

The guys decided not to clone their debut album, but to record a really new record, completely changing their sound and the approach to work on new material. We were inspired by the success of our first album, and, of course, we wanted to do something new in the same spirit. But we understood that we could not do this, because since we have already released it, it means that this is already a stage, and our fans are expecting something new, fresh from Smile Empty Soul.

But since the first album turned out to be of high quality, then they have high hopes for our second release. That is why work on a new album has become a continuous concern for us. But now everything is behind, the work is over, and we really made it to another, completely unlike the previous “Smile Empty Soul”. Now we can only hope that our fans will be able to understand us and re -penetrate our new sound.
