Andrei Pivovarova biography
As Andrei Pivovarov over 20 years became one of the leaders of the St. Petersburg opposition-and was behind the bars of Andrei Pivovarov-one of the main opposition politicians of St. Petersburg-sentenced to 4 years in the case of the leadership of the unwanted organization due to posts on Facebook. Pivovars came to the St. Petersburg policy almost 20 years ago. During this time, he collaborated with more than a dozen democratic parties, organizations and movements, was friends with Boris Nemtsov and other leaders of the Russian opposition.
Andrei created the first political bar in the city, participated in the defense of Isaac and the largest street protests of St. Petersburg, helped dozens of independent candidates to win in the municipal elections and collected money for doctors in the pandemic. My son and I went to the park, there was a lot of events and games, and I promised that we would continue them soon, ”recalls Pivovarov in an interview with Novaya Gazeta.
Successfully passed passport control, climbed aboard, the plane advanced into the runway. Andrei launched the film - he was worried that he was not completely loaded and it would not be possible to watch. Then Pivovarov realized that the plane was returning - and police officers approach the board. He will spend the next year in jail on charges of leading an unwanted organization.
Photo: “Pivovarov’s team” Breaking and “Union of Right Forces”: as an economist and entrepreneur became a politician and made friends with Nemtsov Andrei Pivovarov was born in Leningrad almost 40 years ago. An economist by education, Andrei first engaged in entrepreneurship. He managed to work in managing positions in several companies, including Evgenia Chichvarkin in Euroset, and by the end of the 2000s launched his brewing production - as Pivovarov himself says, it was his long -standing dream with his friends.
Now, answering from the pre -trial detention center to the questions of the journalist of Novaya Gazeta, Pivovarov even looks at this experience through a political prism: he recalls how his company introduced him to how Russian officials work. A formal approval was required of it, we talked about taxes that we would pay the area the poorest, about workplaces for local ones.
And she did not care. She screamed that we would solder the people. As Natalya Gryaznevich recalls, the ally of Pivovarova throughout his political career, in entrepreneurship and politics, he showed similar qualities: “To come up with, find like -minded people, a team, organize, solve all problems. He did it perfectly. " At the same time, Pivovarov’s political career has already begun.
By his own admission, he became interested in politics at the university. Pivovarov became friends with Nemtsov and met other leaders of the Russian opposition through him-for example, Vladimir Kara-Murza, who was sent in a pre-trial detention center in the fake about the Russian army in April. He is one of the most reliable, sincere and indifferent people I know.
” Nemtsov came to Petersburg in the year to hold a picket in support of Pivovarov’s detainee at a rally. Photo: “Pivovarov’s team” “Freedom” and “Suspended Cossack”: how Pivovarov discovered the “First Opposition Bar” in St. Petersburg Nemtsov, Ilya Yashin and other leaders of the Russian opposition and made lectures at the Freedom bar - an opposition institution in which Pivovarov combined his craving for entrepreneurship and politics.
We gave the site to all opposition meetings, and it seems that all the protest groups have visited us, ”recalls Pivovarov. The co -author of the idea was Vadim Sukhodolsky, the St. Petersburg politician and activist, at that time, together with Pivovarov, “civil responsibility” consisting in the movements - they met there. Sukhodolsky recalls that the institution was opened in the wave of a socio-political rise after Bolotnaya and wanted to collect like-minded people there.
Then the generation, which opened the bars "Bachelor", "Fogel", has not yet grown. This was a completely first institution with a political theme, ”says Sukhodolsky. She was expectedly subjected to provocations, denunciations and checks. And the denunciation of the lawyer Anton Shalkov, who collaborated with the Rosuznik, who helped the political prisoner, did not have a cash register for violations in the institution and a large fine.
Shalkov said that because of this bar “for ordinary people, the opposition will be associated with drinking and partying,” and accused Pivovarov of rudeness. In response, Pivovarov called Shalkov a “messed in the Cossack” and “informer”, his act-“revenge of a worthless person”, and proposed to solve the issue “like a man”-in boxing ring. According to Vadim Sukhodolsky, the reasons for the closure eventually became not political, but economic.
Like any economically independent business, the bar demanded time from its creators for management, this is a full-fledged work that did not have enough resources to combine with socio-political activity, ”says Sukhodolsky. This was Pivovarov’s last attempt to engage in business - he got rid of brewing production in a year.In M Andrei explained his decision to establish with entrepreneurship by the fact that "to be a little there and there - it means not to have time." If you wish, you can crush the food production, but I did not want to create additional risks for friends, ”said Pivovarov.
Pivovarov in the Bar "Freedom". Photo: Sergey Kalinkin “Parnas” and Ukraine: how Pivovarov won the intra-party struggle on the eve of the annexation of Crimea in the report from the opening of the Freedom bar “Freedom” “Fontanka” listed different political movements and parties: “RPR-Parnas”, “Defense”, “Solidarity”, “Civil responsibility”. They were united by two things: the declared democratic values and the presence of Pivovarov in their ranks.
In zero brewery was in contact with a huge number of democratic forces of the city. This is the defense created by the activists of the Youth Yabloko, where Ilya Yashin began his journey in politics, and the Russian People's Democratic Union Mikhail Kasyanov, and the Strategy initiated by Eduard Limonov. For organizing a rally of the last in the year, Pivovarov was appointed 14 days of arrest - the media then called such a punishment “unusually tough”, and Nemtsov, Limonov and deputy of the Legislative Assembly, Maxim Reznik, familiar with Pivovarov, personally embarked on almost the entire political career of the latter.
He often changed the organization, and I [in this] understand it humanly. Here he met people, with whom it would continue to cooperate, including his closest comrade -in -arms Natalya Gryaznevich and Maxim Reznik. This distinguishes the leader. Andrey, of course, is the leader. Pretty soon, the politician had a conflict with the regional leadership: after Andrei, the regional leadership decided to exclude it in the party.
The chairmen in the department Konstantin Ershov insisted that Pivovarov did not fulfill his duties and publicly criticized the leadership of the St. Petersburg branch. Pivovarov declared "cowardly revenge of people who are afraid of intra -party competition." Which was sometimes very difficult, ”Natalya Gryaznevich describes Pivovarova. And he perceives mistakes rather painfully.
He is generally a rather cautious and reflecting person, although it seems rude. The federal leadership of the party had to intervene in the conflict: Nemtsov, Yashin and Kasyanov. They sided with Pivovarov, who later in the year became the co -chair of the St. Petersburg Parnas - Yershov left the party. Pivovarov was one of the first Petersburg politicians who reacted to this.
Together with Maxim Reznik on the same day, he announced the launch of the "anti -war committee." But, although Pivovarov and Parnassus took part in anti -war actions, a policy was completely devoted to this agenda and its party failed - many resources had to be allocated for municipal elections that held that year. At the same time, the campaign itself turned out to be a failure that Pivovarov himself admitted - only one candidate went to the municipal council from Parnas to the municipal council.
Anti -war meeting of the year. Pivovarov in social networks reacted briefly to this: “I don’t want to say anything. Tomorrow, Petersburg, Solovetsky stone. So in St. Petersburg the annual marches of Nemtsov began - the Pivovarov became the co -organizer of the first of them and many subsequent ones. Now he is gone, there is no one to speak for us. There is no one to organize marches and say on them.
Now we must do this - you must, ”said Pivovarov from the stage on the Marse Field. The turning event in the history of Russia again took the year of the election campaign. Andrei Pivovarov went to the Kostroma Duma and became known throughout Russia. As often happens with bright opposition politicians in Russia, not because of victory, but because of the pressure of the security forces.
A criminal case was instituted against Pivovarov on the excess of official powers: the investigation suspected that Andrei gave a bribe to the policeman and gained access to the voter database. The opposition was sent to a pre -trial detention center. The matter was not only one of the main events in St. Petersburg politics that year, but also reached the federal level - Putin personally commented on him.
Usually cautious in the comments on political persecution and the president shifting responsibility to the investigating authorities, this time did not doubt the guilt of Pivovarov - and made it clear that he was well aware of the progress: - Paid the money for this - he gave a bribe, the police officer admitted. Let's deal with this calmly. The police officer confessed: “Yes, they gave me money and I took it, and for this I put it into the database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.” Police Alexei Nikanorov then really admitted to receiving a bribe from Pivovarov, but, as the politician’s lawyer said, he later abandoned his testimony and stated that he gave them under pressure from the investigation.
The court decision turned out to be relatively soft. Even during the investigation, the court allowed Pivovarov to get out of the pre -trial detention center on bail of 1 million rubles, which is now impossible to submit in political affairs.Of course, Pivovarova was found guilty, but instead of the penalty requested by the charge - a fine of a fine of three years and 2.25 million rubles - a fine of 1.5 million rubles after appeal, the penalty was reduced to 1 million and the ban on government posts for a year and a half.
The first march of Nemtsov in St. Petersburg in the year. Two years later, “Open Russia” was reformatted in motion, and the Pivovarov and his team headed the St. Petersburg branch. Probably, it was as the coordinator of Open Russia in St. Petersburg that Pivovarov became the most famous among citizens. In this role in the year, the politician entered the “Committee for Protection of St.
Petersburg”, which organized street protests against the transfer of the St. Isaac Cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church - the largest in St. Petersburg over the years. Against their background, the authorities refused to transfer the church building - although, of course, they did not publicly admit that public discontent was the reason. Pivovarov subsequently participated in the organization of almost all major street shares in St.
Petersburg. Repeatedly this turned out for a politician with arrests. He knows how to negotiate. We found a common language with different political forces, including the National Empire. Everything bright that was done in St. Petersburg was done according to the idea or with the participation of Andrei, ”says Sergey Kuzin's ally Pivovarova. Over time, Pivovarov fully focused on the activities of Open Russia.
From Parnas, he and his associates came out due to ideological disagreements with Kasyanov-the party nominated the nationalist Vyacheslav Maltsev to the State Duma, the Pivovarov team was against it. I will not say that it was easy. Andrei invested a lot in “Parnassus” in St. Petersburg - and forces, and time, and money. Despite the fact that Pivovarov no longer belonged to any of the parties, he continued active work to prepare independent candidates for the elections.
The apotheosis of this was the project “United Democrats”, which in the year helped independent politicians prepare for the municipal elections in St. Petersburg.
The associates of Pivovarov are in solidarity in the fact that it was the “United Democrats” that became the most important for St. Petersburg to the Pivovarov project: the opposition in the year managed to spend more than a hundred of their candidates for the municipalities of the city, and a large share of responsibility for this success lies in Pivovarov. Pivovarov did not stop political and social activities in the pandemic.
In m, he launched the campaign “No!
