The resurrected Ertucal biography
OK, after the stunning success of the historical saga "The Great Century", Turkish filmmakers with great enthusiasm began to shoot similar paintings. Each next series had high ratings and a perfectly selected cast. A dynamic plot and an excellent acting game attract the attention of the viewer until the last minute. The events of this series talk about the life of the ancestor of the Ottoman Empire-the Great Ertugul, the father of Osman Bey.
However, some modern researchers believe that this person never existed. Many historians call the protagonist of the same series of the same name by a mythical character. And all because there is not a single reliable fact about his life. Fans of the series are sure that Ertugrul would not have coped with the role of Ertugrul better if we talk about historical artifacts, that is, there are a couple of coins, which mentioned the name of the great legendary ruler.
Another thing is noteworthy that in the annals written many centuries after his life there is no Gunduz Alp. And this forces historians to think that we are talking about two different Ertugrulas. But in the same annals of Osman are called Atman, and this name is not characteristic of a Muslim. From this we can conclude that initially the founder of the Great Empire did not profess Islam from birth.
The greatness of Ertugul in the series cannot be confirmed by any historical data, if we say that Segut is the Turba not only Ertugrula himself, but also Dundy, Savji and Halim, then their originality under a big question. Firstly, they were rebuilt too often, and secondly, according to research, they were all erected later than the 17th century. That is, it is absolutely impossible to be sure that the remains of the Great Ertugul are really located there.
In addition, everyone knows that Osman is buried in Bursa, but in Segut there is his grave. In addition, the man was born approximately in the GG. However, his mother Halim was almost 50 years old. This also leaves many questions - whether she was the only wife of the progenitor of the future empire and was Osman at all their son. How many wives had Ertugrul and which of them Osman’s mother is not known to historians to converge in one - a certain Ertugrul really existed.
But there is no reliable historical evidence: neither his kinship with Osman, nor his great military campaigns. Therefore, we can say with complete confidence that the series “The Risen Ertugrul” is not so much historical as shot on the basis of legends and speculation of scriptwriters.
