Biography of the Vyazemsky poet

Anna Andreevna Akhmatova Poetry, as well as social activities, the poetic work of the writer, was multifaceted. The early works of Vyazemsky echoed with the style of Karamzin and Zhukovsky revered by him, but later the poet gained individuality. According to many researchers, it was he who, not Pushkin, brought the first simple human language to poetry. About how the syllable of Pyotr Andreevich evolved, you can understand in a comparison of early and later works, when heavy rhymes and long lines were replaced by light aphoristic phrases.

Like his friend Pushkin, Vyazemsky loved to devote his poems to autumn. In general, Pyotr Andreevich always spoke with admiration about the work of a comrade. He devoted him to the translation of the novel "Adolf" and helped with the publication of the Bakhchisarai Fountain. Many works of the poet formed the basis of folk songs. In adulthood, the writer experienced a craving for religiosity, as evidenced by some of his spiritual poems, for example, “Prayer”.

Director Eldar Ryazanov, together with composer Andrei Petrov, gave a new life to the Ballads of Vyazemsky, including them in the picture "Little the word about the poor hussar." The prince often created a poetic satire in the genre, composing political epigrams and joking poems for friends.

Biography of the Vyazemsky poet

Pyotr Andreevich left the inheritance to the descendants not only his great poetry, but also the invaluable collections of jokes and the sharpness of his authorship. Personal life continuing a noble family, witty Prince Vyazemsky was considered an enviable party. The young man experienced his first romantic feelings in the year when he fell in love with a mature woman - the daughter of Governor Perm Sofu Karlovna.

Once, being invited to the ball, Peter invited the lady of the heart to throw everything and escape with him to Petersburg. The young lady refused, and laughing, called the ardent young man a “naive child”. The feelings of Vyazemsky were touched to such an extent that he burst into tears right in the middle of the ballroom. Soon Peter forgot about a broken heart, and two years later he married.

The prince met the future wife in the suburbs, a guest of his friends in the estate. One of the invited girls for fun threw her shoe into the pond, and two knights hastened to dive into cold water. One of them - Prince Pyotr Andreevich, in the evening fell from the strongest pneumonia of the lungs. Peter Vyazemsky and his wife Vera for almost two weeks Vyazemsky were seriously ill, and the daughter of the owners of the estate - Vera Gagarina, undertook to nurse him.

A spark arose between the young people, and the girl’s parents hinted to Peter that in this case, a decent person was supposed to marry. This marriage, although it was hasty, turned out to be strong and long. Eight children were born in the family, among whom only Paul managed to survive parents. In the personal life of Vyazemsky there is an interesting fact that is not customary to talk about openly.

Despite the fact that their marriage with faith was permeated with sympathy and respect, they looked through the illegitimate ties of each other through their fingers. One of the passions of the princess was a young Pushkin who devoted a number of works to her. Peter, in turn, had a relationship with Natalia Goncharova, especially after the death of Alexander Sergeyevich.

All these ties did not affect the friendship of poets in any way - they continued to discuss creativity and politics. It is known that in his whole life Pushkin wrote more letters to Vyazemsky than his own wife. The Vyazemsky couple of Vyazemsky took a secret with them to the next world, as it happened that, knowing about the upcoming duel of the poet with Dantes, they did not stop him.

In his works, Vyazemsky many times tried to explain the cause of what had happened, but each time contradicted to himself. The historian of literature and archaeographer Pavel Petrovich Vyazemsky later paid attention to these discrepancies in his father’s notes. The poet spent the disease and death in a spiritual decline, spleen and insomnia. He suffered from a nervous disorder, which even more exacerbated attacks of drunkenness.

Former wit and joker, Pyotr Andreevich composed a poetic inscription on his own tombstone. Pyotr Andreevich died at the age of 86 in Baden-Baden. As the doctors determined, the cause was an exhaustion from old age. His body was transported to his homeland, and buried in the Alexander Nevsky Lavra of St. Petersburg. Soon after the death of the writer, a complete collection of his works was published.

Some of the aspects of Vyazemsky’s work are not fully studied to this day, but much of his poems, articles and correspondence has never been published.
