Father Dmitry Evgrafovich graduated from a three -year rural school, wrote poetry. From his father, the future writer was accepted by the craving for “composition” - he also began to get involved in poems and already in the third grade published them in a school wall newspaper. In addition, Andrei gave all his free from agricultural work to read fiction. Andrei studied in the village of Tataurovo.

The school of collective farm youth gave him many skills. Before becoming a writer, the young man worked a lot: he was an accountant on the collective farm, he was in charge of a rural library in Tataurov. The proximity to the book and determined its subsequent life path. Passion for writing ... became a daily occupation and brought him to the district newspaper, opening the way to journalism.

Andrei Dmitrievich made notes, essays, articles about rural life and gradually worked on his hidden - large works. His first printed poem “Tractor” was written by steps, like Mayakovsky’s. In the same newspaper Tataurovsky collective farmer, the first story “Teacher” was published in the year. I wanted to continue education, and I submitted documents to the Leningrad Institute of Journalism.

But Blinov did not have to study: in September, he was drafted for military service in the army. The military service enriched with new impressions, life experience. Here, the young warrior edited the regimental newspaper. Demobilized, Andrei Dmitrievich began to work in the regional youth newspaper Komsomol tribe, and then in Kirov Pravda. In the first months of the Great Patriotic War, Sergeant-Minometer Andrei Blinov, as part of a battalion of political officers, arrived at the front.

He participated in the battles for Maloyaroslavets, Podolsk, Narofominsk, when crossing the pair river, was wounded three times. The wounds required immediate hospitalization.
