It further pushes us from the event of war days. It would seem that everything is said about the courage and stamina of those who saved their native land from the Nazi hordes, who brought peace and freedom to the peoples of the Soviet Union and Europe. But there are still many white spots in the history of war, many fighters, whose fate we know nothing.

To tell about them, to pay tribute to the memory who died during the war or who died already in peacetime, our holy duty. Peter Shalkhakov was called up by the Krasnodar military commissariat on August 17 and sent to the current army as a machine gunner. In one of the battles near Cherkassky in Ukraine, he was seriously wounded in the leg. But after discharge from the hospital, Peter Ulanovich remained in the ranks and continued to fight the commander P.

In June, during the German offensive at the station: Millerovo, the brigade with battles retreated through Rostov, Bataysk, Armavir, and Apsheronsk. The radio was defeated, and the coherent Shalkhakov, risking his life, provided contact with the headquarters of the army.

For his personal courage, he was awarded the medal "For Courage". In May, the brigade was landed on the small land with a landing. During the release of Novorossiysk, Shalkhakov was wounded in the head. And again he did not fail. Having healed Pan in the hospital, he went as a machine gunner in the regiment of the Guards Division as part of the 3rd Ukrainian Front.

He fought in the Zhytomyr direction. Fire on the leading column, Pyotr Ulanovich was seriously wounded in the chest of the mines of Mina and lay on the battlefield for several hours until the scouts found him. They could not extract a fragment then, he remained with his life a difficult reminder of the war. The war for Shalkhakov ended in March, when he was recalled by a national basis from the front and sent to a width to the Perm region.

And in peaceful life, Peter Ulanovich loved horses very much. In the pre -war period, he was the best asshole and coach of the Krasnodar Hippodrome. After returning from exile, he settled in the Salsk steppes, began to work at the famous stud farm to them. Budyonny and very soon became known among the stud farmers of the country. He conveyed all his love for animals, knowledge and experience to his sons, who also connected his life with horse breeding and equestrian sports.

The eldest son of Yuri works as a coach of the international category in Hanover Germany, Boris and Valery-in an experimental horse factory at the research institute of horse breeding in Ryazan. Valery is a master of international category, and Boris has a high title “Master Cleaner of the International Category”. Only one of the sons of Shalkhakov - Nikolai - did not follow in the footsteps of his father.

He worked as engineer Kalmyk television. There is no Peter Ulanovich among us now, a wonderful person with an open soul. He lived 94 years. It was a difficult but happy life. His surname is proudly worn by sons and daughters. Grandchildren and great -grandchildren are growing. For the sake of their happiness and thousands of people like them, Private Peter Shalhakov fought in the war.
