The group released its first demo "Kruzifixion" in April of the year, and "Unborn Blood" a little later. At some point, before or after the release of this demo, Maxx left the group, as a result of which Helmuth took on his role at the same time vocalist and guitarist. In years, the role of the bassist sessionly played A-X, after which Mario "Marius" Klausner as a permanent participant joined the group.

For some time, the group had a contract with the Perverted Taste Records label, on which the Demo Obscure and Deep was published in the year. At this time, the group’s logo was also changed: two inverted crosses surrounded by blood were included in it. The second album, Blutsabbath, was released in October with a session drummer Man of Mastic Scum. This event was followed by an eighteen -day tour of Europe with Behemoth and Ancient in April and May.

The group’s debut album, The Last Supper, was released in a new design and included 6 additional compositions with EP "Obscure and Deep". The next year, the Third Album, Necrodaemon Terrorsathan, was published by the Last Episode label now known as Black Attakk, Man was again a session drummer on it. In the end, the group left Last Episode and subsequently spoke of it as a "predatory label." In the year, Belphegor had performances at Summerbreeze, Brutal Assault and Morbide Festspiele, followed by concerts in December in Germany.

Also at about this time, the group first hired the Torturer Mor Dagor and the BARTH bassist for the first time. After the release of the concert album "Infernal Live Orgasm" on their own Phallelujah Productions label, they signed a contract with the Napalm Records. After signing the contract from the vocalist and guitarist Helmuth, Sigurd guitarist, Basist Barth and the Torturr drummer, the fourth album "Lucifer InceStus" was recorded, which was the producer of which was the ALEX KRULL from ATROCITY.

The album was published in December, and followed by a tour of Europe. In the Mastersound Studio studio in Fellbach during September, Belphegor recorded their fifth album "Goatreich - Fleshcult", the producer of which was again Alex Kruull. In February, "Goatreich - Fleshcult" was published in various formats, including a limited vinyl edition from copies. In the DJpak version, the instrumental track "Heresy of Fire" was added as a bonus.

In the same month, the Torturr drummer left the group, and NEFASTUS Tomas Janiszewski came to replace it. Soon, the group left Napalm Records, for the reasons that the label “does not support them enough” and that they are “fed up with disrespect”. Having played the bass parties for six of the nine tracks of the new album, the Barth bassist was forced to leave the group and end his career after receiving a hand injury.

Belphegor was forced to refuse to participate in the tour with Hate Eternal in April of the year, and Helmuth was forced to record the remaining bass parties for the new album himself, while for concert performances in April and October, the Basist Robin Eaglestone Ex-Cradle of Filth.
