Subsequently, we repeatedly met with Peter Alekseevich at military-patriotic events. He proudly noted that he himself took up the writer's pen, addressing the books primarily to children and grandchildren. One of our last meetings happened in May at an event in the Union of Journalists of the Kursk Region, where we were awarded diplomas of the winners of the regional journalistic competition named after Konstantin Vorobyov.

Peter Mikhin gave a lot of effort and time to creativity, in his organization, showing clarity and ability to work. I remember how resting in the sanatorium named after Ivan Chernyakhovsky, he painted the mode of operation “on the shelves”, devoting in it a place for conversations with people, walks, and most importantly, to the works at the desk. Sometimes, with newly written leaves, Peter Alekseevich came to the ward to read them and find out the reader's perception of the work.

He loved to walk in the fresh air, share his memories of meetings with famous people, in particular, with writer Alexander Kuprin and, of course, about the war. For me, the fact that Peter Mikhin was familiar with my mother Lidia Alekseevna Medvedskaya, who was in charge of the USSR Department of the USSR at the Kursk State Pedagogical Institute. She often visited the Institute for Advanced Teachers, where she gave lectures for teachers of the city and the region.

This brought our communication closer to Peter Alekseevich. Pyotr Alekseevich was proud that he gave one of his books, also published in English abroad, Russian President Vladimir Putin Veteran supported ties with the Borisoglebsky Museum of Local Lore, where his versatile activities were reflected in numerous documents.
